Rainbow Trip
Exploring Genders and Sexualities
Everytime I am able to get to know anything about the LGBTQIA+ community, it feels like getting to know myself more and each discovery feels like a piece of the puzzle falling into place, helping me understand myself a little bit better, because I am myself is a part of the community and I am very grateful to be a part of it. It is like finding a long-lost cousin at a family reunion, you did not even know they existed, but suddenly everything makes sense. Learning about different identities, hearing people's stories, and sharing my own experiences that all feel like connecting the dots of my own identity in this crazy, beautiful mosaic we call life. I just love how dream-like and colourful it is to learn and appreciate every single information about all the genders and sexualities. From non-binary to genderqueer to demisexual, there is a whole bunch of identities just waiting to be explored. And let us not forget about the pronouns, it is like a choose-your-own-adventure book for language, and I'm loving every kind of it. But it is not just about labels and categories. It is about the freedom to be your true and authentic self, no matter what that looks like. Whatever you are wearing, whether it is something that may people get to be confused about, your gender expression is valid just like every other kinds. And when it comes to sexual orientation means who are you into. Whether you're into guys, gals, or everyone in between, there is no wrong way to love because the heart wants what it wants. Well, some may say something that will show or give disapproval, but you have your own freedom, be yourself and do not let anyone be over you! But you know what? Screw society's expectations. We are here, we are queer, and we are not going anywhere. Plus, being part of this community means you have got a built-in support system like no other. Whether it is finding your squad at Pride or chatting and interacting with fellow queers online, there is always someone who is got your back. So, where do we go from here? Well, the journey of self-discovery never really ends. There is always more to learn, more identities to explore, and more love to spread. But it is not always rainbows and sunshine. Sometimes it is messy, confusing, and downright challenging. But that is part of the magic. It is about embracing the messy bits, the awkward moments, and the times when you are not quite sure where you fit in. Because it's through those moments that you grow, learn, and ultimately become more of yourself. So let us keep exploring, keep learning, and keep loving!
